Is there a warm-up I should follow before each session?

Last updated: 11 April 2026

Yes, and we want to be clear: the warm-up is not optional. We know it can be tempting to skip it when you are short on time or just want to get into the main work, but training cold is one of the most common reasons people get hurt early on. Your joints and connective tissue need time to prepare, especially for the kind of bodyweight movements we do at Calixpert.

The good news is that your warm-up is already included in the program materials. You do not need to figure it out on your own or follow some generic routine you found online. Each session has a warm-up built specifically for the joints and muscle groups you will be using that day.

Most warm-ups in the program take around 5 to 10 minutes. That is a very small investment compared to the weeks you would lose recovering from a preventable injury. We have seen it happen too many times with members who skipped it in the beginning and paid for it later.

If you feel like the warm-up is not enough for you on a cold morning or after a long day of sitting, you can add a few minutes of light movement beforehand. A short walk, some jumping jacks, or just moving around loosens things up before you even start the official warm-up. But always do the full program warm-up before your session, no matter what.
