Is there a handstand program at Calixpert?

Last updated: 11 April 2026

Yes. Handstand training is covered inside the Calixpert Classroom. It is one of the most requested skills in the community and we have dedicated content for it.

The handstand program takes a structured approach, starting with the foundational shapes and body positions required before you ever kick up against a wall, then progressing through wall-supported holds, kick-up practice, and eventually working toward a freestanding handstand. Each step has clear progressions so you always know what you are working toward.

Handstands require a combination of shoulder strength, wrist mobility, and body tension that takes consistent practice to develop. It is not purely a strength skill - the coordination and balance component means it often takes longer than people expect, even for members who are strong in other areas.

You do not need to be at an advanced level to start handstand training. Many members begin working on the foundational positions early in their journey alongside their main program. The earlier you start the basics, the faster you progress when you add more volume later.

Find the handstand content in the Classroom. If you have wrist pain or shoulder limitations that you are concerned about, mention it before starting and we will point you toward the right modifications.
