Gornation Premium Parallettes FAQ

GORNATION parallettes come in three sizes, each with different dimensions. The Premium Parallettes Active are compact, at roughly 24 cm long by 16 cm wide, and 10 cm high per bar. The Premium Parallettes Pro share a low height of about 10 cm, but have a longer handle (around 38 cm) and a wider base (~25 cm width) for extra stability. The Premium Parallettes Max are much taller, standing about 30 cm high, with a base roughly 50 cm long and 35 cm wide, offering the most elevation and range of motion.

Using parallettes for push-ups can be better in many ways. They keep your wrists in a neutral position, which greatly reduces strain and discomfort compared to doing push-ups flat on the floor. Parallettes also allow a deeper push-up (since your chest can go below hand level), increasing the range of motion and engaging your muscles more. While standard push-ups are effective, parallettes add an extra challenge and can help build additional strength and improve form, especially if you experience wrist pain during floor exercises.

Parallettes can make planche training a bit more comfortable, but they won’t make the planche easy. These bars give you a better grip and take stress off your wrists, which helps you focus on balance and form when practicing planche progressions. Because your hands are elevated, you might find it slightly easier to lean forward and find the balance point for moves like a tuck planche or other planche progressions than on flat palms. However, a planche is still an extremely challenging exercise – the parallettes mainly provide support and wrist relief, allowing you to train longer and with better form.

There isn’t a single “best” height for parallettes; it depends on your training goals. Low parallettes (around 10–15 cm high, like the Active or Pro) are excellent for exercises close to the ground, such as push-ups, L-sits, and planche leans, where you want maximum control. High parallettes (around 30 cm, like the Max) are better if you need more clearance for moves like dips, deeper push-ups, or handstand push-ups. Many people start with low parallettes to master the fundamentals and then add a high set for greater versatility. Ultimately, the ideal height is the one that matches the exercises you plan to do and your comfort level.
